This month, Infinite Cares is honored to highlight Ronald McDonald House New York Metro. RMHCNYM has spent decades bringing comfort and stability to families with children undergoing critical medical treatment. By offering a compassionate “home away from home,” Ronald McDonald House helps families stay close to the specialized care their children need while giving them a sense of community, hope, and support during some of life’s toughest moments.
Action Against Hunger innovates solutions, advocates for change, and reaches 25 million people every year with proven hunger prevention and treatment programs. As a nonprofit that works across 50 countries, its 8,300 dedicated staff members partner with communities to address the root causes of hunger, including climate change, conflict, inequity, and emergencies.
The Alzheimer’s Association is a leading voluntary health organization dedicated to Alzheimer’s care, support, and research, striving for a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementias. Their mission involves accelerating global research, promoting risk reduction and early detection, and ensuring quality care and support for those affected. Through national and local efforts, they provide comprehensive care and support services, fund vital research initiatives, and advocate for Alzheimer’s disease awareness and policy changes on both state and federal levels.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing animal cruelty and promoting animal welfare. Established in 1866, the ASPCA provides various services, including rescue operations for abused and neglected animals, advocacy for humane laws, and public education on animal care. They also offer adoption services, spay/neuter programs, and medical care for animals in need. The ASPCA works both locally and nationally to create a more compassionate world for animals, striving to improve their lives through proactive measures and responsive actions.
Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has helped children realize their potential and build their futures. As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers and children, ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. They develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) provides the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training, which helps young people be “Prepared. For Life.®” The Scouting organization is composed of approximately 2.2 million youth members between the ages of 5 and 21 and approximately 800,000 volunteers in local councils throughout the United States and its territories.
Infinite Consulting Corp donated a named Scholarship to the ACEC New York Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to undergraduate engineering students in New York State to promote the consulting engineering profession. Each fall, the Scholarship Committee visits colleges and universities throughout New York State to talk to engineering students about consulting engineering and to present the scholarship program. Applying students are judged on their grades, school and work experiences, as well as an essay. The Scholarship Committee then determines the winners, and awards are presented in the spring.
Infinite and its President, Eric Hirani, founded, support, and fund an Engineering Scholarship at Mineola High School. The scholarship is awarded to a student who will be studying Engineering at an ABET-accredited school.
Infinite and its President, Eric Hirani, donate to the SAME New York City Post Scholarship Fund, which is an independently incorporated entity that maintains an inviolate principle in excess of $3 million. This allows the scholarships to be awarded to deserving students of engineering and related sciences solely from the interest proceeds in perpetuity.
Founded in 1994, the ACE Mentor Program of America (ACE) is a free, award-winning, afterschool program designed to attract high school students into pursuing careers in the Architecture, Construction and Engineering industry, including skilled trades. ACE is a federation of more than 70 affiliates (chapters), operating in 37 states and largely based in metropolitan areas, which deliver the program. A national office coordinates and assists affiliates.
ACEC New York’s mission is to promote the business interests of member firms through networking, advocacy, education and business services.
The American Society of Civil Engineers represents more than 150,000 members of the civil engineering profession in 177 countries. Founded in 1852, ASCE is the nation’s oldest engineering society.
The Center for Architecture shares a home with the AIA New York Chapter and has the unique advantage of drawing upon the ideas and experiences of practicing architects to produce thought provoking exhibitions, informative public programs, and quality design education experiences for K-12 students. It also leads New York City’s annual month-long architecture and design festival, Archtober.
The Construction Management Association of America is an industry association dedicated to the practice of professional construction management. CMAA represents more than 16,000 members including federal/state/local government and private sector owners, construction consultants, technology suppliers, academia, and legal organizations all with a common goal: to improve our nation’s infrastructure.
