“While we have time, let us do good.” Those words guided the life of FDNY firefighter Stephen Gerard Siller, and they continue to carry his legacy forward.
On September 11, 2001, FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller had just finished his shift with Brooklyn’s Squad 1 when he learned of the attack on the World Trade Center. After finding the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel closed, he strapped roughly 60 pounds of gear to his back and ran toward the Twin Towers, where he gave his life helping others. This month, Infinite Cares is proud to support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, created in his memory to honor America’s first responders, military members, and their families.
Through its programs and 9/11 NEVER FORGET initiatives, Tunnel to Towers carries Stephen’s legacy forward while preserving the stories, courage, and sacrifice of September 11 for future generations.
