Infinite Cares May Initiative: Supporting Mental Health in Construction

This May, as part of our Infinite Cares initiative, Infinite Consulting Corp. is honored to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and their Talk Saves Lives – Construction program.

Construction is one of the most physically demanding and mentally taxing industries, yet mental health support within the field is often lacking. According to recent studies, construction workers face one of the highest suicide rates across all sectors. Long hours, job site pressures, and a “tough-it-out” culture can create barriers to seeking help.

AFSP’s Talk Saves Lives program is designed to change that. This educational initiative provides essential training tailored to the construction workforce, focusing on suicide awareness, prevention, and intervention. Through this program, workers learn how to recognize warning signs, start conversations, and access critical support resources. The goal is simple but powerful: save lives through education and compassion.

Eve Biggers-Lewis, Director of Risk Management & Communication at Curtis Partition, puts it perfectly:

“You shape skylines and futures with your hands. Just as you build with care and precision, take time to shape a healthy mind. Your life is the most valuable real estate you’ll ever work on.”

At Infinite, we believe that building better futures means caring for the people behind every project. We are proud to stand with AFSP and bring attention to an issue that affects so many in our industry.
